We are seeking a Mechanical + Hydraulic Engineer to join our dynamic and experienced team based in Christchurch. The successful candidate will primarily assist the mechanical + hydraulic teams with planning and designing engineering systems, contract observation and liaising with Clients, Architects and other Engineers to deliver successful engineering outcomes on projects.

To succeed in this role, ideally you have:

• Industry experience and are a team player and self-starter
• An understanding of engineering safety design principles and related NZ Regulations
• Effective communication skills including technical report writing and verbal communication. Comfortable attending meetings and talking confidently within limits of knowledge and experience
• Effectively use HVAC design, Microsoft Office Suite applications, and cloud-based document management systems
• A mechanical engineering tertiary degree with experience in mechanical + hydraulic engineering
